> Universal Wallet Infrastructure (UWI) is an enterprise-grade interaction layer that enables organizations to securely issue, verify, and manage digital identity, money, and objects. UWI is common infrastructure, not a single app or closed platform, allowing multiple apps, wallets, and services to work together across different systems and organizational boundaries. 

UWI is built for governments, financial institutions, and enterprises that need to issue, verify, and manage digital credentials and identities at scale. The platform supports decentralized identity standards and open standards, and is designed for interoperability across industries and borders. UWI is live in production today, including workforce credentials with Pearson.

## About UWI 

UWI is a partnership between NTT DOCOMO GLOBAL and Accenture. It launched in January 2026 as infrastructure for a data-led, AI-driven digital society. UWI combines trusted data platforms with verifiable computing for AI and agents, providing the data and identity backbone enterprises need today while laying the groundwork for secure, governed AI agent interactions.
