How it Works
Education
Learning happens everywhere now, across courses, providers, and borders. UWI lets learning and accreditation providers issue qualifications that are trusted and verifiable, so a degree, certificate, or short course holds up wherever a learner takes it next.
Where the system breaks down today
Rise in Credential Fraud
candidate profiles worldwide will be fake by 2028 due to AI Deepfakes. Without a trusted verification layer behind every credential, employers have no reliable way to know what is real.
Growing Administrative Burden
is the average time taken by traditional institutions to verify academic credentials. Issuing trusted credentials becomes fragmented, inconsistent, and difficult to manage at scale.
Demand Outstrips Visibility
of talent leaders look for digital credentials, but only 46% regularly receive them. The reason is that there is no common infrastructure to carry these credentials across platforms, employers, or borders.

How does UWI Help

Accreditation That Can’t Be Faked. A Record That Can’t Be Lost
Every credential issued through UWI is verified against its source and tamper-evident, so any alteration or forgery is detectable. And because the learner controls what's shared and with whom, nothing leaves their wallet without their explicit approval.

AI That Acts On What Was Earned, Not What Was Claimed
As platforms build AI-driven learning pathways, hiring recommendations, and agentic workflows — those systems need to operate on credentials they can trust. UWI gives every AI capability on the platform a verified identity layer to act on, not assumed data.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. UWI works as a trust infrastructure layer underneath platforms. It adds verified identity and credential issuance via our APIs and/or SDKs on top of existing learning ecosystems without requiring platforms to rebuild or replace what they have already built.
UWI issues credentials into a learner-controlled wallet that sits independently of any single platform. Credentials earned across universities, corporate training programs, and educational platforms are carried by the learner and recognized seamlessly — without repeated validation from each issuing institution.
Credentials issued through UWI are authorized by the issuing organization — whether that is a training provider, certification body, or employer. This means they cannot be forged, tampered with, or transferred between individuals.
Current systems manage identity inside an organization: authentication, authorization, roles, access policies, and lifecycle workflows. UWI provides portable, verifiable, user-mediated data that does not replace any existing stacks like IAM Systems.
The learner does. Credentials are held in their own digital wallet and shared only with their consent. Employers and platforms can request verification but cannot access, store, or transfer credentials without the learner's explicit approval.
Yes. UWI is already in production with some of the biggest learning platforms, with UWI operating as the trust layer behind it, managing verified identity and making the process of verification at scale, seamless.
